This page explains how Bright Fact Lane researches, writes, checks and updates its content.
Who is responsible
Bright Fact Lane is founded and edited by Roniel Prado, who approves every article before it’s published and is responsible for its accuracy.
Our standards
- Accuracy first. Every factual claim that isn’t common knowledge is linked to a source. Statistics, dates and quotes always are.
- Primary sources over summaries. We prefer peer-reviewed studies, official statistics, university and museum resources, and original documents over other blogs or aggregators.
- Original work. We don’t copy or rewrite other publishers’ articles. Each piece is planned around what a reader needs to understand the topic, including the parts other explanations skip.
- Clarity. We explain technical ideas in plain English and define terms the first time we use them.
- Independence. Advertising never influences what we write about or what we conclude.
How an article is made
- Question. We start from a question real readers ask.
- Research. We read the primary literature and note where sources agree, disagree or are uncertain.
- Writing. We draft an explanation structured around the reader’s question, with sources cited inline.
- Review. The editor checks every claim against its source, along with clarity and tone, before publication.
- Updates. Articles carry a “last updated” date and are revisited when new evidence appears.
Use of tools
We use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, to help with research organization, outlining and editing. Every article is reviewed and fact-checked by the editor before it’s published, and we are responsible for everything on the site.
Corrections
If you spot an error, please tell us through the Contact page. We review every report. Substantive corrections are made promptly and noted at the end of the article with the date of the change.
Advertising
Bright Fact Lane is supported by advertising. Ads are clearly separated from editorial content, and advertisers have no say in our coverage.
